Solo Resource Recovery

My mum had a hard rubbish booked for general waste, unfortunately someone dumped two mattresses on our verge along with our hard rubbish. Our rubbish was taken but the mattresses weren’t and were left outside our house on top of rugs that we wanted removed. We called SOLO and spoke to the very unhelpful and smart arsed Melissa who suggested we booked a mattress pickup or dump them ourselves. The issue with this is that they aren’t our mattresses and mum only gets 2 pick ups a year. Why should we pay to dump someone else’s rubbish? When we explained again that they weren’t our mattresses, thinking that Melissa had misunderstood the situation, she said that it would have to come off mums yearly collection allocation, which is unfair. When we said "well what if we put the mattresses infront of someone else’s yard?" She replied "whatever floats your boat" and then proceeded to reply in short, unhelpful and sarcastic remarks. Do better SOLO and train your staff on basic service skills.

Only get 1 star because I can't rate them any LOWER! Today they haven't picked up our bins again on collection day (Friday) for THREE WEEKS IN A ROW!!! We have uncollected garbage piling up outside our home, this is shameful, disgusting and disgraceful for South Australia! It's attracted insects, rats and birds to the property! Contacted them to complain in the past multiple times for missed collections but they never do anything about it. Its not only us but I can see and have checked that the neighbours on our street haven't been collected either. Going to have to report them to council again and now member for parliament!

Their bin truck drivers need to have dash cameras installed and then be dismissed when they are audited on their driving. It is absolutely disgraceful the way they drive, no care or respect for anyone else on the road plus also the speed they go is ridiculous. I'm surprised no one has been killed it's that bad.

New house in Roseworthy, do all the right things order bins etc get told as soon as you have bins trucks will pick up bins on the pick up day. Pick up day comes and goes call to speak to someone only to be put thought to the rudes abrupt female I have ever spoken to. Only to be told your bins will be picked up when we can no sorry etc just rudely spoken to and then hung up on ... To say this would have to be the worst service ever is cutting it short.

My 2-year-old is currently obsessed with rubbish trucks. The truck driver saw my son scarring to make it on time, so he slowed down so he didn't miss the rush being collected. He gave him the biggest wave and then rolled down his window to give him a little toy dust spin. It has made my toddlers weak.

Absolutely useless service. Booked hard waste pickup for two couches. They came twice and just drove past. If two couches are "too hard," then don’t call it hard waste. Pathetic.

Booked a hard rubbish collection through the Light council only to have them cherry pick through the pile and take three easy items leaving the rest at the property, my wife rang to see what was happening and was very rudely told that that was our collection and we'd have to book another one next financial year, absolute joke
