Hi , I checked average lead battery price for Adelaide around $2 + KG [ Average ] late 2025 prices so I offered my 2 batteries which were weighed , was paid $7.50 .I complained and said should be almost double that amount , tall fair hair guy responds no , no , that's the price . Afterwards I googled the current average price again , found out I had been ripped off so gave the batteries back . It's not the money that concerns me but a company that I trusted completely for a long time had ripped me off . Max Spring [ willing to be proved wrong ]

I separated and counted my 10c bottles and cans. I took in the following Glass 194 Cans 231 Plastic 66 Cardboard 33 Biocult 28 Total amount 552 Total amount of money I should have received $55.20 Total amount of money I received $50.00 As you can see the Balhannah missed counted by 52. That's $5.20 that they stole from me. I understand if it was 5 to 10 as we are only human and miss count, but 52 is completely unacceptable. I recommend only taking in very small amounts e.g. 50 or less and count them before hand. I have been taking 10c bottles and cans here for years and trusted them so never thought I needed to count them because owners are very friendly. I took some bottles to a recycling place down Adelaide and also got robbed for $4.40 so I decided to count them for Balhannah Salvage before taking them in. Very disappointed with the outcome.

Excellent customer service from Vino. I enquired online and had a prompt response about booking a scrap metal pick up. Scrap was picked up within 2 days and for an excellent price. Would not hesitate to recommend to my family and friends. We will be using this company again.

Best recycling depot around. Service is top notch, the lads there have always looked after us. Went today and despite being right on closing (and coming with a full trailer load of bottles and cans!) Went on a Sunday after ringing due to being very unhappy with another recycler at Mount Barker who when we went on a weekend the staff were very rude and grumpy to us. I am new to the area, and they made me feel very unwelcome-it really ruined my day. I also wasn’t sure that I wasn’t being ripped off there. We brought a huge amount of items in a large bale & I didn’t get as much money as I thought. Rang Balhannah Salvage and spoke to a lovely man who explained that I would be welcomed, and I could bring in my cans and bottles and that I wouldn’t be shortchanged. I could count the items myself. I went today and was met by a really friendly female staff member-dropped my cans off, and was given 100% the correct money-as I counted and sorted them all. Thank you so much for great customer service and making me feel welcome. I have found my new recycling place and you made my day! 5 stars from me and Gertrude( my retro laser).
