Aussie Skip Bags - Sydney

2 issued here, first of all, this is a bit of an illegal scam. You buy a pink bag from Bunnings, meaning you own it. Then organise someone to pick it up in which they charge you for that and more than what you paid to purchase it, technically it’s your bag and you technically own it, so if they pick it up you don’t see it again. So it’s a free fee for them scamming people as you own the bag. Now I paid for this bag to be picked up I paid $360 we have been told for over a week that the bag will be picked up tomorrow, tomorrow comes and nobody comes, we ring them and same issue someone will be there tomorrow, tomorrow comes and it’s still there. I ring and the guys very shady over the phone talks over me then says that it says there end it’s been picked up, he will call back and update me, no call back I’ve made a police report and spoke to Bunnings corporate who chose what items Bunnings take and they have said they are thinking of canceling this company.

Pretty poor service. 7 days after booking for pickup i was told he forgot to book the truck contractor to pick up. the max kg rating is very strict. They weigh the bag on pickup and anything over the limit and they won't pick up the bag. Then hit you with an extra $60 return fee + extra weight fee. Never had this weight issue with Jumbo bags over last 2yrs. Very expensive option compared to normal steel skip....about double the price. I'll go back to Jumbo bags, just tried these guys because they sell the bags in Bunnings but not worth the 3 week stuff around and extra $400 for 300kg and return fees.

There is a fee for collecting the bag that is clearly detailed on their website. Skips charge by the day so if it’s going to take a few days or weeks to get all your junk into the bag you can do it at your leisure (my favourite part of the system). They take stuff the councils don’t in kerb side collection. Prompt collection once paid for on their website. I am currently filling up my second bag. Very good service.

This is my second time using Aussie Skip Bags and I would use them again. Bought the Flyer bag online and have had it for absolute ages, which is great when you're a slow DIYer like myself. I couldn't possibly afford a traditional skip for this long, plus I wouldn't have been able to place it out of sight and then move it down to the road where the truck can pick it up. You don't pay until you're ready for the bag to be picked up. I think the price is most reasonable. I collect junk for ages, then someone takes it off my property and disposes of it - Awesome. Easy to organise pickup day. Friendly efficient driver. I couldn't be happier.

Most expensive option - you are better off getting a proper skip. The website price doesn't mean much as they will slug you another $100+ when picking up the bag. The owner Paul is rude and will tell you about other bad experiences he has caused along with a list of fabricated stories to justify him ripping more money than you can imagine.

Absolutely horrendous experience with this company – avoid at all costs. No mention of extortionate pickup fees when purchasing the bag, then failed to pick up the rubbish and didn't answer/return calls. Had to get rid of the rubbish ourselves with a ute.

Totally misleading-no where does it say in the bag the exorbitant fees they are about to charge you to actually pick up this bag-but what can you do as you cannot move the friggin thing-very unhappy and Bunnings should be more upfront when selling these bags to their un suspecting customers-not happy at all
