First time here. Usually go to Campbelltown for convenience, but it has been closed for weeks. My experience this morning at AWRC was top notch. Young man on gate was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Set up very clear and easy to use. For a car load of old paint, cooking oils, household chemicals and propane gas containers - no charge.

Dealt with two people there and they were both friendly and helpful. I got to dispose of 1/3rd ute tray full of chemicals, paint, insecticides, oils and some miscellaneous chemicals for free. Much appreciated and gives people more insensitive to dispose of harmful chemicals the right way!

Incredibly bad customer service (never experienced anything like it!). Got there right on 3 pm and waited at boom gate. Someone eventually came and told me they closed at 3. I Asked when they were next open and they said read the signs and turned away and ignored me. Made me reverse out as they impatiently shut the gate on me.

A while back my daughter was unloading some waste from a trailer and lacerated her hand. The main office had a basic first aid kit and the employee did a wonderful job of treating her. I’m a former paramedic and was pleasantly surprised at the competency shown in treating my daughter.

I know that costs go up but $90 for a little piss ant 5x4 trailer is outrageous. PLUS, they get you to do half the work for them by getting YOU to sort and divide anything that can be recycled. I get charged to dump my waste, so I want to drive in, dump my waste and drive out. They are the recycling plant so they need to sort out the recyclables not me. I don't get paid to do that.

It’s been easy every time I’ve been. We’ve used it for their free disposal of paints/chemicals and e-waste items. You can check the City of West Torrens website for info on quantities and specific items. I also saw that City of West Torrens residents get a free voucher to dispose of 6x4 trailer load of waste each financial year! Great if you live in that council area.

Way overpriced for what I had to recycle, ended up paying $30 for 7 flattened out carboard boxes and a boxful of polystyrene. I'm not even sure the polystyrene will be recycled as I was directed to "put them next to that wall with the other plastics" (where there was all sorts of stuff other than plastics). Next time the red bin will be cheaper and at least I don't have to drive all the way and pay $30 for something I'm not even sure it'll be recycled. Plus had to wear a mask when some staff didn't. Disappointing.
