The older lady with short blonde hair who works at the way in station is an incompetent employee. Ended up being turned away from dumping today as a truck was being loaded near where I needed to go. I'm positive the truck driver had deliberately left enough room for the Green waste bays. There was still plenty of room for me to reverse as the truck had not covered the bay at all and an entire bay was empty and free next to where I had to go yet she couldn't manage that. I asked her if that was the case why couldn't the next Bay along that was completely empty could be used for a short period of time. She cut me off from talking and I got a very abrupt response - SIR THATS NOT THE RULES... For me that costs me time and money. She's completely incapable of making very basic management decisions.
I called in advance to drop off some household cardboard the customer service hotline mentioned it’s free to dump in. But I was turned away by the blond older lady with short hair at the entrance. Gave me another address in Kingsgrove
I have visited the Rockdale centre to drop off small amounts of paper and cardboard on two occasions, 3 weeks apart. Both times they advised they were full. Not sure they actually accept paper products even though their website says they do...no point calling ahead on a Saturday as they only operate phones during the week.
The woman who let us into the facility was such a lovely sweetheart, and we both had a good laugh on the way out. Quick and easy.
Asked today 7th march about free oil disposal, was told "No we're full" upon enquiry about how long or when the facility will be emptied, was just told I don't know. A happier person and informing your staff of current services in uour own domain / prospective time-scales would be a lot more productive
You can bring your old furniture here. They work also at Saturday since 8 am till 5pm and Sunday since 8 am till 1 pm. Any weight up to 1800 kg will cost $93.
