Australian Waste Management

I strongly advise anyone considering this waste collection service to be extremely cautious. My bin has gone uncollected for a staggering 13 weeks, and I’m not alone—there are around 80 other customers facing the same neglect (I know this because I’ve received emails where all customers’ email addresses were visible, revealing exactly how many people are in the same situation—a serious breach of privacy in itself). The company only employs two drivers in all of Australia, and their management team is based in Canada, while phone support is outsourced to the Philippines, leaving no local accountability whatsoever. When I visited their so-called "office," I discovered it’s just a bunch of shipping containers, and the entire yard is overflowing with full bins that haven’t been emptied for ages. On top of all this, they require customers to pay for the full year in advance, locking you into a service that doesn’t deliver. I highly recommend looking for a more reliable waste collection service that charges per pickup or on a more regular basis and actually fulfils their commitments. Honestly, if i can give it a 0 rating. I would off. First of all, the company makes you pay for the year. This is a red flag already as many bin companies will just charge you monthly or per pick up. After paying close to $1000 in DEC, i have received about 50% collection (its now JULY). Its now been 4 weeks (this is the second time) that our bins have not been collected and despite numerous emails and phone calls, the decide not to answer their customer. This is the second red flag. When you stop communicating to the customer, the company must be going through some issues for them to ignore customers. I have already sent a complaint to the ACCC demanding a refund of non collection and breach of agreement. If anyone is looking to use Australian Waste Management, i recommend you look at all the recent review here and take notice. Its just not worth it. Go on a monthly plan so you won't be out of pocket if they stop collecting.

Didn't want to review until the stands were in place and operational. Now we're using them I would have to say we are really happy with them. They were the correct size, well made and well finished and most importantly work as they should. Highly recommend. Finally fixed the problem of cockatoo's emptying the bins.

Used to be ok. They haven't picked up our bin for over 3 months. Stay clear of this company. You can't even contact anyone anymore. Got another company to take over, half the price of these guys. Look around, you will be glad you did.

This company is a complete joke. I paid for weekly bin collection in February — it’s now May, and not once have they picked up my rubbish. After I asked for a refund, they flat-out refused, then conveniently stopped replying to emails, and now don’t even answer the phone. No service, no communication, no accountability. I’ve been stuck for 3 months with an overflowing bin, unable to get my money back or hire another provider — because their useless bin is still sitting here. They are quick to take your payment, but after that, you’ll get nothing but lies, silence, and frustration. The way this business operates is disgraceful — it feels like legalised theft. If you want to throw your money away and be ghosted, this is the perfect company. Otherwise, stay far, far away.

A family member engaged the service and paid a year upfront and as we were to discover later, paid twice what she had to pay other providers. The service was put off and put off and put off and is still not started meanwhile waste piles up, rots, stinks and is becoming a real issue. When asked to refund the money paid in advance which was needed to engage another provide this company said their small print says no refunds. I am pretty sure unfair contract terms does not allow a service provide to take money, not provide a service and also contract that they can keep the money. Contacting them is impossible. As there is no sign of an actual garbage truck it leaves you wondering if this is all a big scam ? BE AWARE dealing with this mob !!!

Require you to pay up front, and then don't provide a service. No way to talk to anyone on the phone, they require email. They boast that they service all of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, but they couldn't get a truck to us for over a month, I wonder if they're going bankrupt? I would warn anyone off using this company.
