Hop, Skip and Dump

Organised bin on Monday to be removed on Tuesday. Ring multiple times on Tuesday to then be told it was Wednesday 7am. Ring again at 11.30 am to chase it up and I've been told the driver's have gone rogue and nothing they can do. They know I have a car waiting to be towed away that is being blocked by the bin. Completely unacceptable.

This mob is part of Waste-Away / SA Skips which shows now because service to Gumeracha isn’t what I expected from a previously reputable Woodside based company. Ordered a 9cu M bid for the 8 day week but delivery on the first day was SO LATE i had to write that day off as it didn’t get delivered until about 4.55pm and that was after I tried to ring both Hop, Skip, Dump AND Waste-Away (only got to leave a voice message). When driver eventually arrived he said he arrived for a "pick-up" (not a drop off!) and then had to go away, get a bin and all the way back to deliver it. Did they come do the pick-up at 4.55pm a week later? Hardly, wanted to take it early so I protested having lost Day 1 because of late delivery. Driver phoned someone and said I could keep it ‘till following Monday (no Sunday pickup?) which seemed a nice compensation for my loss of Day 1 BUT then they sent me a bill for $132 for something that happened because of THEIR tardy organisational skills! Not impressed Hop Skip Dump / Waste-Away! Poor organisation & communication shouldn’t cost the CUSTOMER! Buyer / Hirer BEWARE! Don’t get caught like me 🙁

always used these guys but never again. was verbally tol when booking that I could have the skip until Wednesday but on the form it said pick up 3.10.2024. they dropped off the skip late Tuesday and stated first day does not count. picked up my skip in the am so what I hired for 7 days was 6 days and 3 hours and ax I paid $745 i'm quite disappointed in you attitude. lost me as a customer

Would never go through this company again. 1. When bin was delivered the driver went up the bank of our driveway and dug it up, now we have a job to fix the driveway. 2. Went out to say good morning to driver and he completely ignored me. 3. Bin was dropped in the correct place however, he put the door on the opposite end so we where loading the bin up a slope which was not easy. It was obvious where we where doing demolition. So it was clear what way the bin needed to be facing. 4. The day the bin was due to be picked up no one showed up. This resulted in us having to cancel our wood delivery. We asked for it to be picked up on that date so we could get our delivery but then had to reschedule them. 5. The day the bin was due to get picked up they sent out the wrong size truck. That truck couldn't lift skip. Which then resulted in another day of the bin being here. The bin ended up leaving the property 3 days overdue. This caused us a heap of hassle cancelling deliveries.

Have ordered skips from Hop, Skip and Dump twice now and very happy with everything! Efficient and friendly service in the office. Guys delivering the skips are friendly and helpful too.
